No, we aren’t suggesting to parents that you put your kids in a closet until they agree to stop begging for the latest Christmas toys. Rather, we mean that you should clean up any of your kids original Bratz dolls and put them away in a safe, secure place. Based on a judge’s ruling today Bratz dolls may soon become as extinct as the dinosaurs. It appears that Mattel has been successful in their four-year legal battle against Bratz toy manufacturer MGA, in which Mattel claimed Bratz dolls designer Carter Bryant developed the concept for the Bratz dolls while working for Mattel. The ruling will have a huge impact on the availability of the Bratz doll family, including the four originals — Yasmin, Chloe, Sasha and Jade, and the related dolls and accessories that have since been created.

Do you see where we are going with this? If your kids have any of the Bratz dolls and the supply ofthose dolls is now going to be cut-off, what does that mean for the value of your kids dolls? Less supply equals more demand for those dolls, which means people (especially collectors) will pay top dollar to have them. Which means that those very same Bratz you are prying from your daughter’s hand today could potentially put your kids through college in the future when a collector will pay top dollar for something that’s in extremely limited supply.
