So where is everyone having Easter Dinner?

I am having my brother's family over for a small gathering. It is hard this year with my dad's health issues, he is on a feeding tube, can't eat so we are not having him and my mom over. We talked to mom and she agreed it would be too hard for dad this year to be around all the food and not get to eat any.

Hillary and Peter will be here and Foster too. That makes 10 of us.
I am making Turkey and Ham, haven't decided on what kind of potatoes yet. Gotta have the sweet potatoes and scalloped corn too.

For dessert we are having Pumpkin Cheesecake, Carrot Cake and my brother's favorite Brown Sugar Pudding.

Brown Sugar Pudding
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
Pinch of salt
Vanilla
1 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. raisins

Simmer on low heat 1 cup brown sugar, water and 1 tablespoon butter. Put hot syrup into buttered baking dish first. Mix remaining ingredients and drop batter by spoonful on top of syrup. Bake in oven at 350 degrees until golden brown and doesn't stick to a toothpick.

As it bakes the liquid turns into carmely stuff. You serve it warm with milk or cream over top.

Loc: Home is where the heart is.
On Easter Sunday, seeing I am not bowling, we will be having Roast Lamb, Roast Potatoes, green beans, cauliflower in white cheese sauce.
Not sure what we are having for dessert, I might make some small custard tarts.

Not sure what we are having yet since I don't know how I will feel.
I may look for us a ham tomorrow or we may just find us a buffet somewhere to eat out at.

Not sure...
I want to see my folks, seen them last at Christmas.
I called to see what they where doing and they wont be home they will be at one of my sisters so I guess we are going to crash my sisters, not sure if my mom told her we where coming down, feel bad about crashing. Mom said she was making Turkey or Ham, but I just may make dh stop somewhere along the way and eat and show up after dinner so we can visit for awhile then take the long way home so we can stop and say hi to dh's Dad.

Buffet dose sound good Karen!

Lots done already. Deviled eggs done, Green Fluff (Pistachio Salad) done. Turkey breast cooking tonight. Pie cooked for Hillary, she loves the Mrs. Smith's Cinnabon Apple Pie.
All I have left to do tomorrow is heat the ham and make the scalloped potatoes and scalloped corn and the candied yams. All easy stuff. I am sooo hungry for it now!

Change in plans I'm going to Connie and Dave's LOL

We are now just staying home, in 2 weeks we will go down and see my folks.
So I'm sitting on a ham thawing it. LOL
Making ham, mash potatoes, gravey, sweet potatoes, scalloped corn, picked up white and wheat dinner rolls and got a german chocolate cake. Good enough for me, ham is huge so will be eatting ham for a week and freezing some.
Also hope dh's brother will stop on in to help put a dent in the ham.

No Deviled eggs here this year :( but just got done filling eggs with candy, money, and toys so ds can have an egg hunt, in the house since our yard is nothing but snow :(

All enjoy and have a Happy Easter!
