As most of you know, my dad has cancer. He had to be rushed to the hospital today. Please keep him in your prayers. We think they have him on too many medications. He blacked out a few days ago and fell in the bathroom and his ribs were hurt. Now he has the shingles in the spot that he fell on. We are hoping they can determine that his meds are making him weak and get him pumped up again. I went to see him on Christmas eve and he was doing pretty well. I hope they can adjust his meds where he can get some strength back and enjoy himself some more. Luckily I only live 2 streets over from the hospital so I can go regularly and quickly. Thanks for letting me vent.
Thanks Dave & Doug. Dad was doing better Thursday, but some of his meds on Friday made him have an upset stomach 4 times. We finally got him settled into bed around 10pm Friday night. He scared me that last time because he was having trouble breathing. Thank goodness they have him on oxygen. I just want him to get better so he can enjoy what time he has left and not be in pain. Those shingles look really bad. They are on his left side and half of his back. They looked better today. I can't imagine having something like that. It looks like he was burnt where the sores are. Anyway, thanks for letting me share. I will try to post a little more when I have time. Miss you guys!
