    You get great deals - as long as you know what the value of what you are looking for really is. If you aren't careful you can end up paying more than what it is really worth.

    I've been with Ebay as a buyer for close to 3 years. Last Fall I decided to start selling to bring in some holiday cash! I did real well selling some nice cashmere and angora sweaters that I never wore much, as well as some other clothing items...In a little under two months I had made close to $600 for holiday shopping! Woo hoo!! So for those of you reluctant to sell online, I say go for it. Read up on Ebay's Seller policies first, make sure you familiarize yourself with Paypal too as most people want to pay that way. Paypal is owned by Ebay. It's all very secure. Ebay even has a downloadable toolbar for security. Too many people give out their passwords to fake emailers trying to gain access to your accounts, but if you follow the rule and NEVER respond to an email with your password, there should be no problem. Ebay and Paypal will never ask for it via Email. Anyhow, getting back to Ebay, I have bought a lot more than I've sold and only one time did I not get the item, and this was in the last month. Paypal took my complaint, investigated, and refunded my money! I wasn't out anything at all except frustration. Very good service. For those of you with small growing children, you can really outfit your kids in beautiful designer clothing for not much money, nickels on the dollar compared to the retail stores. I wished I had given it a try when my kids were younger. My preteen daughter gets a lot of trendy items, and my older teen son gets Ipod accessories and PS2 games. I have bought jewelry, toys, household items, and lots of clothes and shoes, you name it! Everyone's happy and enjoys the thrill of the auction and the frugality too! Plus getting packages in the mail is always better than bills.

    I have been buying on eBay for years! I could not love it any more than I do! I agree that you should always check the sellers feedback rating. I have bought hundreds of items and I am rarely displeased with my purchase. If I am, it is due to the item not being the exact same as pictured, but I don't think it is the sellers fault...it is just usually my "interpretation" of what I see in the pic. Sometimes you get better than expected as well. I think that if you shop around you will be surprised to find that eBay can have much better deals. Also, you can find ANYTHING! Gotta love that!

    Ebay can save you a lot of money if you can catch the right deal! Or, become a seller and take advantage of making that profit by recycling your own families clothing, toys or just about anything!

    How can you rate ebay good or bad without mentioning that some sellers are good and others are not. I've been burned, yet I have also found good deals. I think it deserves a neutral ... just remember to read the auction and ask questions if you are still unsure. Also, make sure you look at the shipping ... there are major price gougers out there.

    Since there is no half.com available and since they have merged with ebay.com, I thought that I'd let you know you that half.com is quite good for slightly ussed items. I have purchased various video tapes from this site and never had any problems with them. I question that perhaps the shipping and handling fees are a bit much, but whatever.

    Love, love, love my Ebay! You can literally find anything in the WORLD on this site, usually at a bargain price! I've made nearly 50 purchases on Ebay and I've only encountered a problem with a couple of vendors. Both times the problems were minimal and were resolved promptly after contacting the sellers. Just make sure to check a seller's rating before you buy.

    I love ebay. It's where you can find anything! I have had a few problems with sellers and false decriptions, but not enough to keep me away. it's great for gifts as well.

    I have been shopping Ebay for years! Used to sell a long time ago. I've never encountered any Ebay codes but am happy that some reward programs offer points for doing a Buy It Now purchase. I really like this feature because I don't have the time to babysit an auction. Ebay is the one place to find ANYTHING you're looking for! I have purchased more stuff there than I want to admit to and spent more money than I want to know! It's grown so HUGE and impersonal though. It's rare you even communicate with a person anymore, it's just click, checkout, pay..which kind of bites..since I have "met" many a nce person at the other end of auction in the old days...some I still have contact with.

    I buy and sell here and love it. However, they tend to side with the seller and were not helpful *at all* when a seller disappeared and I never got my purse. Was unable to file a claim and ended up out $250.

    Didn't see any for half.com which is under e-bay, but I have had good results with half. com. I don't understand why the postage is slightly more than the actual cost of the product being sent. Have bought VHS tapes from this site, all of them in very good condition.

    If Ebay doesn't have it, it doesn't exist. I'm amazed at what you can find. The whole Ebay experience feels safe with the way they run their website. I would recommend The Ebay auction over any other auction site out there.
